District Reports

Safe and Supportive Environments: Suspensions

This table shows information about students in the district who have been temporarily dismissed from school or sent to an alternative placement, broken out by the reason for the suspension. There are a total of 40 types of infraction listed on the table.  The information is reported by number of incidents of suspension, number of students involved in suspensions, total number of days lost to suspension, a suspension rate (number of incidents per 100 students enrolled).

Each set of three numbers separated by dashes represents the number or rate of suspension incidents in the district broken down by school level: elementary, middle, and high school.

You would like to see relatively few suspensions in the school, and none regarding incidents of violence, controlled substances, bullying, hate crimes, and gang activity.
