Field #12: Instruction

Instruction:
Teacher responses from the SALT Survey

This indicator is based on teacher responses to the SALT Survey; the graphs show responses to several of the questions that contributed to the Instruction Indicator. The graphs show both the response from the individual school and the statewide average by school level (elementary, middle, or high school). The graphs also show the responses on the most recent SALT Survey (2002) and the previous survey (2000).

This indicator shows whether standards-based and research-based instruction takes place in the school. It also shows whether teachers are well prepared to implement standards- and research-based instruction, and it denotes the barriers that teachers face or the support that they receive as they implement good instructional practices.
